Soooo… it’s been a while. Apparently it’s been so long since I’ve updated any WordPress plugins that now all my galleries are broken. I’m gonna have to figure it out, but in the meantime, there’s some sort of newer stuff here:
Thanks for visiting, sorry for the mess.
Claire & No.2
More Motorcity ladies from last year. Mmyeap.
Found some old stuff. Gonna be uploading. Yeap.
So… I have a tumblr
, if you’re into that kind of thing.
Motorcity: Behind the Scenes
PROCESS – Behind the Scenes of Motorcity
Check it out, my buddies Sung Jin Ahn and David Woo get facetime on TV.
Plus, my storyboards for Mutt’s reveal in Ep. 1, and the Mike/Tooley fight in Ep. 3 (being animated by the insanely talented Jeremy Polgar)
What’s that, Dutch?
Both episodes 1 and 2 are available streaming, fo’ free at our official Motorcity Disney XD page? Holy cow, man. Holy cow.
Modok is displeased
Some Avengers:EMH scraps I already had on my comp. Also, a little Mike Chilton doodle that’s part of something bigger I’m putting together… dunno if I’ll be able to finish it before the premiere, so here’s a sneaky peek.
Motorcity Ep. 1 on iTunes for FREE
A little late to the party, but here’s a little Julie fanart in faux marker/consketch flavor. Our first episode is available FREE on iTunes as a glorious HD download. It’s madness, I tell you. Madness. Check out some trailers, etc on the Official Disney XD page.
Speaking of Disney XD, it occurs to me that this is, purely by coincidence, the 2nd show I’m working on for the network– my first ever animation job was as a storyboard revisionist Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Been meaning to scan/post some of my work from that show for a while now….
Premieres April 30th on Disney XD, and a free iTunes download of the pilot on April 16th. Check out some trailers at the Official Disney XD site!
This is what I’ve been storyboarding on for the past year, and hopefully for many more years to come if y’all watch it. The ONLY action show being animated in the USA, by awesomely talented cats who slave away in the room right next to me. Every step of this production oozes passion, creativity and talent. No joke. You’ll see for yourself when it hits your screen.
Oh, also here’s some doodles.
So Drive is a pretty amazing movie. This has nothing to do with it except the font. Playing around with some quick things. Realizing today that I’m a completely different person than I was 5-6 years ago. What the hell happened, I wonder.
Plants? Yeah, I like ’em.
Sartorialist warmup from today, and some random oldies.
Buy War Bonds
So I just saw Captain America. Pretty awesome.
Edit: I forgot to mention, any of you Cintiq users may be interested in this Kickstarter project: PenMoto. I don’t do that much typing while drawing, but I do set the pen down and inexplicably cannot find it again. Pretty neat/useful.
Help them reach their goal!
A little re-doodling of some things I originally did in 2005: Red and Yellow
Hold Yr Terror Close
Saw The Go! Team this week, which was the happiest show I’ve ever seen. Holy crap they’re so happy. Definitely needed the break. Definitely should be sleeping, but so amped up from some mad-cap storyboard blitzing, I made this instead.
Another from The Sartorialist. The fish… the fish I will explain next time.
Being as April is fast approaching, here is more (old?) art I haven’t posted yet. A study from The Sartorialist, which has a ton of really great photos for warmup drawing. A lot of really subtle personality, even in some otherwise unremarkable standing poses. Just looking at this guys face still makes my day- the fact that someone can even look as happy as that makes you think the world is gonna be alright.
I had a fair collection of warmups from here when I was at Cartoon Network last year- unfortunately I forgot to copy them when I left, and by the time I came back to visit they’d wiped my hard drive. This one and one other that I happened to print out are all I have from those drawings. It’s cool though- way back in college I had a locker full of oil paintings that got cleared out over the summer- so, you know, I’m used to it.
